But a Subscribe button for a thread/thema would come in handy.

There is something like that:
The first Checkbox unter this Textarea.
"Aktivieren Sie dieses Kästchen, um über weitere Antworten per Mail informiert zu werden."

= Activate this Checkbox to get informed (eMail) about new posts

But, there ist a Problem:
you alsways have to make a post in order to do this, but this is because of the subscribtion-system, i would prefer a new table for this.

Maybe "hidden" posts solve this problem (e.g. postid < 0).

nein, eine lösung wäre einfach, die abonements auszulagern, wie ich es für mein thwb auch schon gemacht habe ( www.pagenstecher.de )
